Working a Horse Through a Gate

In this short session, Nathan explains that as he travels through a gate, he’s looking for the horse to remain calm, attentive, and responsive to subtle cues. Nathan points out common issues, explaining that these behaviours often stem from uncertainty or fear. To overcome this, he advises consistent, gentle encouragement paired with clear communication, helping the horse to associate passing through gates with a positive and safe experience.
